Our gym is a shared space where everyone should feel comfortable, safe, and motivated. Please respect these rules to help create a positive training environment for all.
Hygiene & Etiquette (Top Priority)
Wipe Down Equipment
After using machines, benches, or cardio equipment, please wipe them down with the provided spray and blue cloths. This keeps the gym clean, hygienic, and pleasant for the next person.
Re-Rack & Return Weights & Equipment
Put dumbbells, plates, and all other equipment back in their proper place after use. Don’t leave bars or machines loaded — the next person may not be able to move them safely.
Don’t Hog Equipment
Be mindful especially at peak times. Avoid sitting on machines or benches while resting if others are waiting. Share equipment and allow others to “work in” if possible.
Be Mindful of Your Space
Respect other people’s personal space, especially in free weight areas. Avoid blocking mirrors or standing too close to others when lifting.
Respect & Consideration
Dress Appropriately – Wear clean suitable workout clothes and appropriate footwear. No Barefoot Training. For safety and respect, no Celtic or Rangers football shirts are allowed. Local GAA, football, or rugby shirts are acceptable.
Respect Facilities
Treat the showers, toilets, and changing rooms with care. Keep them clean and tidy.
Respect the Equipment
Do not drop dumbbells, barbells, or slam down weight stacks unnecessarily. This damages equipment, disturbs others, and can cause injury.
Personal Belongings & Personal Hygiene – Keep bags, coats, and valuables in lockers or designated storage areas — not on the gym floor where they can cause hazards. Please be mindful of your personal hygiene, for everyone’s comfort, please come to the gym clean, use deodorant, and wear freshly washed clothes. Avoid strong perfumes or body sprays, as they can be unpleasant in shared spaces.
General Gym Conduct
Use Equipment Properly
Machines and weights should be used as intended. If you’re unsure, please ask a staff member for guidance.
Keep Noise Levels Reasonable
Some effort sounds are natural, but avoid swearing or excessive shouting, loud phone calls, or playing personal music without headphones.
Be Respectful to Staff & Members
Courtesy goes a long way. Follow staff instructions and treat fellow members with kindness and respect.
Aggressive, abusive, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
Filming or Photography Without Permission – Respect the privacy of all members and staff. Photography and filming is allowed but do not include other members or staff without anyone’s consent.
No Unsafe Behaviour – Don’t balance on machines, stack weights incorrectly, or attempt dangerous lifts without proper support.
Access Policy – Members must scan in with their fingerprint at reception for access, anyone found to be jumping the barrier or allowing another member to tailgate will be asked to leave and membership terminated. If you’re having issues, please wait for assistance from a member of staff.
Health Responsibility – Train within your limits. Seek advice from staff if unsure and consult a doctor if you have medical concerns.
Food & Drinks – Water and sports drinks are allowed, but no food or glass bottles on the gym floor.
Respect Opening Hours – Members must finish training and leave the premises by closing time.
Report Damaged Equipment – If something is broken, faulty or unsafe, notify staff immediately.
No Outside Equipment – No other kit or equipment is allowed to be brought into the gym without approval, for safety and liability reasons. Chalk or liquid chalk is prohibited.
Failure to comply with our rules may result in being asked to leave the premises. Repeated or serious breaches can lead to termination of your membership.
Remember: A clean, safe, and respectful gym environment benefits everyone. Thank you for helping us keep it that way!
